Bigger Update!

First off! Here's some actual animation!
This is kinda my demo reel coming off iAnimate, minus one shot which I need to fix up due to a render mishap.

iA Reel from omar elhindi on Vimeo.

It's not terrible! I'm happy with it for the most part at least.

So actual update-wise, I was unfortunately rejected by Sheridan. Sucks.
Oh well, there's still a chance for me to get offered their art fundamentals program, and if I don't then I'm off to St Clair college, and maybe re enroll in iAnimate! I miss it there, it was a ton of fun and I learned a lot in a really short time.

Anyway, that's it for now! Hopefully my posts will be a bit more frequent :)

Great reel man!

Sorry to hear about the Sheridan rejection, I was also rejected about 7 years ago but have been working in animation for the last 6 years ;)

Best of luck! Enjoy your time in college!

I went to Vancouver Film School.

After the 1 year course, I worked on a few animated TV Shows in Vancouver. Finally ended up at BioWare in Edmonton after a little while.

After a few months at BioWare, we hired a bunch of Sheridan grads that would have been my classmates had I been accepted the year that I applied.

Your career can take a lot of different paths.

With Anim Mentor, iAnimate and all of the online schools now available, your options are better than ever. If I could do it all over again, I would probably do a 4 year art degree at a local college/university that didn't cost an arm and a leg and then do iAnimate or Anim Mentor.
